Alastair Graham
I am a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Victoria. As a habitual tinkerer with a hands-on background in small engine repair and mechatronics, I have a fascination with all things electromechanical, and I delved into 3D printing as an educational hobby to explore in my spare time and supplement my degree.
Over seven years, over a dozen printers, and hundreds of kilograms of polymers later, I have educated myself extensively on various aspects of FDM/MSLA printing and all things related, from 3D modelling to printer design, and from print quality troubleshooting to firmware optimization. I wrote a technical report on the strength effects of 3D print infill as part of my engineering degree, and in my spare time I am working to continuously develop my hobbies and skills as an engineer. What started out as a fascination with physics has developed into a deeply rooted passion for engineering, and I am continuously looking to build upon my knowledge and skills as I nurture my experience as an EIT.
