Astronomy
I have always been fascinated by the heavens, and in 2024 I decided to begin my foray into astronomy. After months of stargazing with binoculars and a laser pointer, I purchased my first telescope, a tabletop Dobsonian. I was impressed by the views I could achieve with such a compact model and soon upgraded to a full-size version for better views of distant stars, planets, and nebulae. I use my phone camera as well as my DSLR camera to capture images. As I gain more experience, I hope to become highly skilled at star-hopping and identifying celestial objects, as well as mastering astrophotography techniques such as image stacking, correction, and post-processing. My long-term goal is to acquire a high-quality equatorial mount and apochromatic refractor telescope to allow me to explore deep-space photography.
The equipment I presently use is listed below.
Orion StarBlast - 4.5” Dobsonian
Canon Rebel EOS T5i
Sky-Watcher Classic 250P - 10” Dobsonian
